Tucked away in the woods of Estero lies Corkscrew Woodlands. Nestled away from Corkscrew Road, this 55 and up community is a wonderful place to take life at a more leisurely pace and just relax.
Built in the 1980’s, this gated Estero development began with a humble background as an RV Landominium. Today, the community has been renovated and now has permanent, single-family homes where residents spend the winters or all year-round soaking up the Florida sunshine. 640 homes sit among 123 acres of the beautiful Estero woodlands. The community is divided into 15 cul-de-sacs that house 600 lots and 2 half cul-de-sacs which house 40 lots. Homes located inside the community vary between single-family homes and renovated, permanent mobile homes in the back section. A large sparkling lake in the middle of the community is circled by homes and provides serene views for its residents while winding streets decorated with beautiful landscaping welcome residents home. Each cul-de-sac has a community facility for its residents. Inside, toilet facilities, showers, mailboxes, laundry machines and more are available for resident convenience.
Corkscrew Woodlands has made great strides in the past 30 years and is still enthusiastic about its future potential. Currently, the community features amenities such as tennis courts, tiki huts for entertaining, bocce ball courts, horseshoe courts, eight shuffleboard courts, a pool and spa, boats to use on the lake, mini golf and nature trails. A 6,700 sq. ft. clubhouse is also available and comes complete with exercise equipment, a library and billiards tables. Other amenities include water and sewer, full basic cable TV, central trash and recycle areas, bulk item and junk appliance areas, horticulture and debris pickup and lawn care. To cover the cost of keeping this Estero community looking beautiful, association maintenance fees of $555 per quarter are dispersed among residents.
